With the change in seasons comes a bevy of new fashion trends to try. While not every trend is wearable for every woman, there are a few that just work — no matter your body type or height. This fall has several trends that most women can incorporate into their wardrobe.
Here are three we think are worth trying this season:
1. Duster-Length Cardigans: The classic cardigan gets a makeover. Hitting just below the knee, duster-length cardigans feel a bit more chic. There the a perfect topper for a body-con midi dress (for those chillier nights when it’s still not cold enough for a lined jacket) or to throw on with your favorite pair of distressed boyfriend jeans and t-shirt.
2. Of-the-Moment Color: Pumpkin Spice: One of the season’s must-have colors screams fall has arrived. This deep orange shade was spotted on the runways at Diane von Furstenberg, J. Crew and countless others. Whether it’s a chunky knit sweater or structured blazer, adding a couple pieces to your wardrobe in this autumnal hue is a definite do.
3. Velvet: The rich texture of this fabric has a way of making an item of clothing or accessory feel much more luxe than it actually is. You can totally dress in velvet from head-to-toe (think: tuxedo jacket with matching pants or pencil skirt), but if the thought of going all out seems a bit much for you start small. An accessory, such as a belt or ballet slipper, is a simple way to test this trend out.
Keep it stylish,
