I love color-blocking, but unless it’s a dress I tend to only do it with separates in the cooler months versus in the spring and summer. So when I got these fabulous mint green linen trouser pants from J. Crew Factory (on clearance for under $40), I knew I had to create a color-blocked look.
I decided to pair them with other pastel and light colors for a sophisticated ‘fit that screams summertime. This pale blue top (kind of like a robin’s egg blue, right?) is almost sheer and the nude skinny belt has a matte-like finish.
This look is something you can wear to work or — depending on how you style it — can transition into evening, too. For a date night outfit, swap out the fitted tee for a tank or camisole with a lower neckline and add some sky-high pointy nude stilettos.
