Tablelist Helps Make Girls’ Night Out a Little Bit Easier

It takes a lot to get me excited about going out to a nightclub — I know, I know — but I’m not a fan of standing in long lines to get in or having a place be so packed that it’s literally people standing wall-to-wall.

I was cautiously intrigued when the folks at Tablelist, a smartphone app that allows you to book VIP tables and bottle service at nightlife venues in select cities (including Boston, Foxwoods (Connecticut), the Hamptons (New York), Las Vegas, New York City, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C.), reached out to me about testing out their app in Washington, D.C. They treated me and three friends to a night out. I decided to take my favorite girls — my sisters — along for the experience. We got dolled up and headed to Eden lounge on a Saturday night.

How the app works: After downloading the app to your Android or iPhone mobile device via the Google Play or iTunes stores, you’ll have to register for Tablelist, which includes inputting your credit card information. Once that’s done, you can search a variety of venue options based on your location, music preferences, venue amenities, and venue type — from lounges to dance clubs to bars — and book VIP tables and bottle service.

Once you’ve booked your table, all you have to do is show up to your designated location on the scheduled date and time and be immediately whisked away to your table. No standing in line necessary.

What I liked: I love that the app offers the capability to split the check with other people in your party. This means no more IOUs — and potentially never getting your money back when you foot the bill upfront yourself. Note: Your friends will also have to download the app and register in order to split the bill.

What I didn’t like: The app just launched its service in the Washington, D.C.-area, which is where I live. If you’re based in the Nation’s Capital or the surrounding area, the venue options available right now seem a bit limited in terms of variety — most are located in downtown D.C., with a top 40, EDM, open or house music format. Of the current options (including Bar DuPont, Capitale, Dirty Bar, Echostage to book event space, Eden, Flash, Heist, Kabin Lounge, Mad Rose Tavern, Policy, Provision 14, Rosebar, Sax Lounge, STK, the Gryphon, the Huxley, and the Manor), I would definitely recommend Eden lounge. Our server, Kamar, was awesome!

Would I use Tablelist again? Yes. It helps take the guess work out of booking a VIP table and bottle service at a nightlife venue. You know exactly how much everything costs right down to the tip amount for your server ahead of time. I would use the app again to book a special girls night out event, such as a birthday or bachelorette party.

Piqued your interest? The folks at Tablelist are giving Stylin’ & Profilin’ readers a chance to experience the app for themselves in any one of the cities where they currently offer service. All you have to do is sign-up for the app here. Once you’re registered, enter the code STYLINVIP to receive a $50 credit to be used towards your first VIP table booking.

Keep it stylish,
