5 Products to Help Sweat-Proof Your Makeup

With moisture in the air at an all-time high this season (hellooo, 75% humidity at 8 o’clock in the morning), it’s all too easy for your makeup lookΒ to go from fab to a melted mess by the time you to get to work in the morning.

If Mother Nature is getting the best of you, we’ve rounded up five humidity-proof products (all for under $25) to help maintain your summer beauty look — even in the dewiest of weather.

Sweatproof Beauty Products

1. Stila All Day Liquid Lipstick Summer Collection, $22, stilacosmetics.com: This highly pigmented lip color is easy to apply and dries to an extremely matte finish to last all day (not kidding, it lasts all day!). It’s food proof, coffee proof and sweat proof. It also has vitamin E and avocado oil in it to soften lips.

2. L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte 24HR Foundation, $12.99, lorealparisusa.com: Don’t let the “matte” in the name fool you. This non-drying foundation is perfect for sweltering days. This foundation (best applied with a beauty blender) gives medium to full coverage and connects with skin for a non-greasy finish. Use a light powder to set and forget!

3. Benefit Cosmetics BADgal Waterproof Mascara, $19, benefitscosmetics.com: Although it’s a tad pricier than my usual go-to mascara, this formula will battle rain, tears and smudges. The hourglass spiky brush is perfect for lifting and separating lashes and gives them an oomph that lasts all day.

4. Garnier Cleansing Micellar Water, $14.65, amazon.com: Trade your usual toner for Micellar Water when temperatures are high. This gentle formula hydrates while lifting away makeup and debris without leaving a filmy residue. Swipe some on in the morning before applying makeup to remove any excess oil to help prep your skin for a warm day.

5. MAC Blot Film, $16, maccosmetics.com: If all else fails and you feel your skin becoming damp throughout the day, blotting papers will come to your rescue. When you see a little shine, take one sheet and gently blot the area to absorb any oil. If you like the idea, but want to save some cash, toilet seat liners (yes, toilet seat liners!) work just as well.
