1. Clarins Lip Oil (in Honey), $23, Macys.com
I’m obsessed with lip products — lip scrubs, lip masks — you name it, I’ve tried it. I’m also a huge fan of Clarins because of their light, but effective (and glow-inducing) products. So when I read that Clarins had released an oil for lips, I knew I had to have it.
It keeps my lips moisturized for hours and just glossy enough to give my look a subtle did she do something different boost. It’s not gloopy like some other glosses. The best part about this oil is the applicator — it yielded some audible oohs and aaahs when I whipped it out at a recent brunch. I’m not big on scents and this does have one, similar to other Clarins products, but it dissipates quickly.
2. Marc Jacobs Eyeliner (in vivid purple), $25, Sephora.com
Eyeliner is usually the first thing to go from my morning makeup routine if I’m in a rush, but I love using it to highlight my eyes and make my lashes appear thicker. I love this gel liner from Marc Jacobs — it glides on easily and stays put, even on high-pollen days. For spring, I love this vivid purple color.
3. Ten Over Ten Nail Polish (in Mulberry), $18, Sephora.com
This dusty rose color is so pretty and looks great for manis or pedis. I’m also a fan of Ten Over Ten’s five-free approach and I find their polishes to be pretty chip resistant.
4. Karma Naturals Nail Polish Remover (with Soybean Oil and Tea Tree Oil), $10.44, Amazon.com
I plan to be painting my nails a lot this spring (see that gorgeous color above). I’m a loyal devotee of RGB’s nail polish remover pads for taking off my polish. But I haven’t the steadiest hand and I use this liquid polish remover to remove the polish that inevitably gets all over my fingers. Pro tip: I use a paint brush. Thanks to the soybean and tea tree oils, it’s super moisturizing and it actually smells great (unlike the acetone-filled formulas of my youth).
5. Glossier Soothing Face Mist, $18, Glossier.com
Glossier is the brainchild of Emily Weiss, the founder of one of my favorite beauty blogs, Into The Gloss. The brand is built around a simple approach to beauty and skincare. I’m excited to try this soothing face mist, both to brighten my complexion and help me conquer the mid-day slump.
