I’m pretty low-maintenance when it comes to washing my face. I’ll admit that I (gasp!) didn’t always do it. But with 30 on the horizon, I don’t play around when it comes to skincare. Lately, I’ve been alternating between cleansing balms — I live for One Love Organics Skin Savior and RMS Beauty’s Raw Coconut Cream — and actual face cleansers like One Love Organics Easy Does It foaming cleanser.
I recently added another face wash to my rotation after trying Sibu Beauty Sea Buckthorn Balancing Facial Cleanser. It’s a gentle cleanser that gets points from the start for being paraben and cruelty free. I’ve spotted it on the shelf at my local Whole Foods, which sits well with my inner hippie.
I liked its faint citrus scent and how well it lathered up. I also liked how soft my face felt after I rinsed it off with lukewarm water, per the bottle directions. My complexion was noticeably brighter, too. My only gripe is that the cleaner itself has a bit of a grit to it — not exfoliant-level, but it is not the smooth formula I was expecting. But the results are what matter, right? I’ll definitely be keeping this on my vanity.
