I’m always scouting for new beauty products and I’m often amazed by the innovations I see. Click on the images below to get the details on the five most innovative products on my radar:
Avon Mega Effects Mascara, $10: This mascara is getting a lot of attention from the beauty circuit, due to its ergonomic design. It’s like a mini paint brush for your lashes, designed to coat all of your lashes at once. The ladies over at Refinery29 tried it in their Beauty Test Lab and the review was pretty solid.
Sephora Collection Smart Liner, $14: This sleek liner also benefits from an ergonomic design, which would be great for eyeliner novices. Note the super fine tip, which allows for a more precise application.
Nars Radiant Cream Compact Foundation, $38: A Nars makeup artist recommended this brand new foundation to me when I told her I was looking for a lighter, no-fuss coverage. It goes on very smooth and leaves an almost satin-y finish. You can wear it alone or on top of your foundation, if you need a bit more coverage.
Marc Jacobs Beauty Lovemarc Lipgel, $24: Are gels the new creams? I’ve been gushing about Josie Maran’s hydrating gel blushes for months, so I’m excited to try this gel-infused lipstick from Marc Jacobs’ highly-anticipated line. With a wide range of colors and a subtle plumping agent, it’s the perfect lipstick for fall.
Lancome Dream Tone Corrector Serum, $98: Many serums tout their ability to tackle dark spots and uneven skin tone. That’s the main selling point behind this one, which comes in three slightly tinted shades (one for fair, medium and dark skin tones.)
