Diffusion Lines to Get Excited About: Narciso Rodriguez for Kohls, Maison Martin Margiela for H&M and Duro Olowu for JC Penney

Bringing luxury to the masses is something many high-end designers (who you wouldn’t likely expect) have decided to do over the last few years. Lanvin, Karl Lagerfeld and Versace are just a few of the haute couture heavyweights who’ve created budget-friendly collections for everyday shoppers. Fashion lovers are in store for some serious style starting in November, because three highly-anticipated diffusion lines start to roll-out then through early-2013.

What the designer is known for: Minimalism, draped silhouettes, voluminous jackets/coats

What to expect from the diffusion line: Lots of bold color and prints (separates perfect for color-blocking), structured tops, curve-hugging and flowy dresses, slim-fit pants, and voluminous and fitted jackets

Price range: $44 – $130

What the designer is known for: Deconstruction, voluminous separates, intricate tailoring details (exposed seams)

What to expect from the diffusion line: A mostly neutral color palette (camel, navy, black, grey and white) with a few pops of color/print, deconstructed pieces (jeans and blazers), and over-sized staple pieces (turtlenecks and peacoats)

Price range: $13 – $399

Our favorite piece: Horizontal dress, $199

What the designer is known for: Mixing bold prints, lady-like silhouettes, feminine tailoring

What to expect from the diffusion line: Lots of  color, lots of prints (from separates to handbags to accessories), eye-catching finishing details (enamel belt buckles and buttons)

Price range: $10 – $100

Our favorite piece (so far): T-strap platform sandals, $40
