Oscars 2014: The Best and Worst Dressed

Hollywood’s big names put on their Sunday’s best and hit the red carpet last night at the Dolby Theatre for the 86th annual Academy Awards. And with spring less than a month away, the big color trends ranged from chic neutrals to pretty pastels with a few deeper tones sprinkled in. Another trend for the night included gowns with lots of drama (think: flowy and billowy) instead of the more form-fitting numbers we’re used to seeing make their way down the Oscars red carpet.

Of course, several celebs stood out from the rest (two words: Lupita Nyong’o — oh, and Olivia Wilde does red carpet maternity style like no other). Here’s a round-up of our best- and worst-dressed picks of the night:
