Fashion’s Night Out hit cities across the globe this past weekend. From New York to Greece, it was a night of extravagance for shoppers around the world. S&P checked out the stylish festivities in our Nation’s Capital, stopping by s;tores such as CUSP and Sangaree to see what kind of freebies and discounts retailers were offering shoppers.
Here are a few of the shops that stood out:
Fashionistas swarmed Intermix, which offered shoppers $50 off on purchases of $300 or more. Customers also got a peek at the store’s fall collection. It was fun and frills at Betsey Johnson, as sales assistants dressed perfectly for a night out in cute cocktail dresses welcomed eventgoers by blowing bubbles at the store’s entrance. Shoppers that made purchases were privy to a private garden party held on the boutique’s outdoor patio complete with cupcakes and a wine tasting.

At Vineyard Vines, in addition to the open bar and hors d’ouevre station, FNOers received 10% off on their purchases. The store, whose clothing is ideal for the preppy set, even donated 10% of the night’s earnings to the Steamboat foundation.
And not to be outdone, local restauranteurs got in on the action with dining specials. S&P took a food break at Thai-inspired restaurant Bangkok Joe’s, which offered patrons a free glass of wine with their receipt of a purchase of $75 or more from a participating retailer.

I had a great time at Fashion Night Out with friends and good sales. It was nice to see everyone enjoying Georgetown for the evening. I am truly ready for the fall season. I purchased 2 shirts and a necklace from H&M and a pair of olive clogs from Steve Madden!
I had such a good time at FNO in Georgetown. I liked seeing people enjoy all of the shopping Georgetown had to offer and supporting the city and its charitable efforts. The range of people was interesting: from young teenaged hipsters to dads hanging out in Intermix for the free sushi to DC’s most stylish fashionistas. We liked the vitaminwater zero photo booth, the champagne, the great deals and the parties at Intermix and Betsey Johnson. My biggest critique was traffic was disastrous. We took the circulator, leaving at 5:30 and didn’t get to M and Wisconsin until 6:45, and the circulator did not go down M Street, but K Street. I would have just walked more had I not been in killer heels.
Love your pics! Glad you had fun.
