With this year’s historic presidential election, politics seems to be top-of-mind more than ever before. And it is probably the country’s first African-American president Barack Obama who has helped peak many people’s interest. From pop culture to the fashion world — the influence is clear.

High-end designers like Diane von Furstenberg, Tracy Reese and Jean Charles de Castelbajac have incorporated Obama-themed pieces in recent collections. 

Simple and perhaps the most noticable when it comes to fashion’s political take are t-shirts. They are everywhere: from fly girls rocking their Obama baby tees to the fellas stylin’ with their sneakers and even celebrities showing their support for Mr. 44.
