Fashionable ‘Change’

With this year’s historic presidential election, politics seems to be top-of-mind more than ever before. And it is probably the country’s first African-American president Barack Obama who has helped peak many people’s interest. From pop culture to the fashion world — the influence is clear.

High-end designers like Diane von FurstenbergTracy Reese and Jean Charles de Castelbajac have incorporated Obama-themed pieces in recent collections.

Simple and perhaps the most noticable when it comes to fashion’s political take are t-shirts. They are everywhere: from fly girls rocking their Obama baby tees to the fellas stylin’ with their sneakers and even celebrities showing their support for Mr. 44.

This politically-charged fashion must-have will likely be in high demand over the next four years. And the great thing about them is that they’re extremely affordable.

For all of the fashionistas, however, who don’t usually wear t-shirts, get ready to let your inner-Rachel Zoe break out. For starters, you can dress them up with heels, accessories and some vintage jeans. Let your creativity and personal style shine through!
